Whole Wheat Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C. Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1.5 bananas
- 3/4 C. “milk”
- 3/4 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. aquafaba (bean juice)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
- Mix the vinegar and the milk together and set aside.
- Plug in the waffle iron and pre-heat.
- Mix the dry ingredients together.
- In a separate bowl, mash the bananas with the brown sugar. Add the aquafaba and milk mixture. Whisk together.
- Add the banana mixture to the dry mixture and mix just until it comes together and no dry flour is seen. It will be thick and lumpy.
- When waffle iron is hot, spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Add a scoop of batter to the middle and spread with the back of the spoon. Close and cook according to waffle iron directions.
- Serve as thou wilt.
